This More Columns mod will not only improve the User Interface (UI) of CAS, but it will also give you more freedom and control over how items are shown.
Find out how to do this by reading the whole article! We also gave you some mods that will make your CAS experience even better.
How to Expand Columns In Create-A-Sim?
Create a Sim, or CAS, is probably one of our favorite parts of The Sims 4.
It’s where we give life to our sims by giving them clothes, physical traits, and quirky personalities.
But if we could change one thing about CAS, it would be to have more columns for the displays/thumbnails of the endless features, items, clothes, and custom content we have in CAS!
More Columns In CAS Mod

We don’t have enough columns in CAS, but there is a mod that could help. Because, really, what’s the point of having only two columns in that space, right?!
It looks too boring. The More Columns in CAS Mod was made by Weerbesu, a player and mod creator. Weerbesu made this mod in 2019 with the goal of adding more columns to the catalog panel of CAS.
This gives people who are making sims more comfort and a better UI experience. He then kept the More Columns in CAS Mod up to date so it would work with TS4’s regular updates and patches.
3-Columns Display In CAS

First, let’s look at the More Columns in CAS Mod with three columns. This one just adds a new panel to the CAS catalog of items and features.
This is a great option if you don’t want to make your screen too crowded but still want to see more thumbnails each time you move your mouse in CAS.
If you like this version better, go to this mod page and choose the “More CAS Columns (3 Columns).package” file at the bottom.
4-Columns Display In CAS

You can get the 4-columns version of the mod if you still don’t think the 3-columns version shows all of the items and features of CAS.
The 4-column version of the mod seems to be the best one because it gives you a wider range of items and features to choose from without showing you too many thumbnails at once.
Click on the “More CAS Columns (4 Columns).package” file at the bottom of this page to get the 4-columns version.
5-Columns Display In CAS

Yes, you did hear correctly. The More Columns in CAS mod by Weerbesu comes in versions with 3, 4, and 5 columns.
If you install this version of the mod, you will be able to see a wider range of CAS items and features when you move your mouse.
This is great for you if the sudden flood of thumbnails in your CAS space doesn’t distract you easily.
To choose this version, go to this Patreon post and choose the “More CAS Columns (5 Columns).package” file at the bottom.
How To Install This Mod?
The More Columns in CAS Mod is easy to set up, just like the other mods we’ve shown you.

Put this single PACKAGE file in your The Sims 4 mods folder. Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods is the path to the mods folder.

One of the most important parts of The Sims 4 is the Create-a-Sim, or CAS. It’s where we give our favorite sims in the game life, color, and personality.
So, it is very important that we have a comfortable time when we spend time in CAS making our sims.
This is made possible by the More Columns in CAS Mod by Weerbesu. We can now improve how the items in CAS are laid out by adding more columns, which makes the game run more smoothly.
