If you have the Get to Work expansion for The Sims 4, you probably know that your Sims can open and run a business.
With it, they can earn perk points and unlock retail perks, which can make your store the most popular one in town.
But what if you don’t want to spend so much time getting points and unlocking each perk one by one?
You’re in luck, then!
There are a lot of ways to get everything you need without having to go through all the trouble.
Here are the best cheats for Sims 4 Perk Points!
What Do Perk Points Do In Sims 4?

The goal of perk points is to help your Sim’s business. Some are meant to bring in new customers, help you run your business better, and bring in more money, while others are just for decoration.
Even though employees can help you run your business, they can’t give you perk points. You can only get them by having your active Sim work. Perk points can be earned in three ways:
- Interact with customers (5 points)
- Make a sale (15 points)
- Restock an item (10 points)
If you don’t have enough points to buy a basket, it will always be grayed out in the retail perks menu. But even if you use cheats to get them, they will still be grayed out.
So, if you want to see which ones you bought, either naturally or with cheats, just move your mouse over the basket icon next to the perk you want to check.
Why Use Perk Points Cheats?
If you’re not sure if you should use cheats, here’s how many perk points you’d need to get without cheats to unlock perks:
- Placard: My First Simolean: 50 points
- Provocative Pedestal perk: 100 points
- Stunnign Sign: 150 points
- Snazzy Shirt: 200 points
- Register for Tomorrow: 250 points.
- Superfluous Surplus: 300 points.
- Additional Employee #1: 350 points
- Faster Restocking #1: 400 points
- Faster Checkouts #1: 450 points
- Placard Fobbs: 500 points
- Curious Shopper: 1000 points
- Mega Manager: 1100 points
- Additional Employee: 1200 points
- Serious Shopper: 1300 points
- Faster Checkouts:1400
- Faster Restocking: 1400 points
- Sure Sale: 2000 points
- Slick Salesman: 2100 points
- Instant Restocking: 2200 points
- Cheaper Restocking: 2500 points
As you can see, some perks are easy to get, but it will take a long time to buy a perk that costs 2200 points. So, cheats are the way to go if you want to get things done quickly.
They are permanent for the business to which you apply them, unless you sell your business, in which case the perks will start over from zero.
How Do Retail Perk Points Cheats Work?
For perk points cheats to work, you’ll need to turn on cheats and have your active Sim own a business. This will give them access to all perks, and they’ll be in charge of them. After they use cheats to unlock a certain perk (or perks), they will be able to buy retail perks from the build/buy menu when they go to a retail lot.
Now, unfortunately, there isn’t a cheat that works everywhere and lets you add as many points as you want, like we have with reward store points. In other words, to get any of the perks, you will have to use a cheat that is only for that perk, since cheats don’t actually change the number of perk points.
So, if you have 0 perk points before using cheats, you will still have 0 perk points after using cheats. Cheats let you get perks, but they don’t change your points overall. Use bucks as an example. CustomerBrowseTime unlock perk True cheat will only give you the Curious Shopper perk. It will not give you an extra 1000 perk points.
If you decide to sell the business, the perks you bought will be taken away. If you want the perks to still work in that business, you will have to play as a new owner and use the perk cheats all over again.
